Wow, another update in a short period of time? The world shall now end, have a magical day! Or not, whichever.

So, I've been trundling through my costume list, and while I've not finished anything I've started in on at least six of them. So, in theory, if I get my head out of my sewing basket, I could finish some things in short order! Of course this now means I've added yet more things to my list...don't hit me! What can I say, I have to keep busy...yea, that's it...busy.

Still no new job in view, but I'll admit I've not been too diligent in my search, I'm working on the assumption they'll at least keep me until after the holiday season is done if only so they don't have to actually work. I could be wrong seeing as how they just fired two people from an already understaffed department...but we'll see.

Next up, decided to go ahead and toss the mini-crowns up for commission, they're on the same page as the hat information, so feel free to check that out. Still need to try my hand at the mini-tricorns, I think they may not happen the way I want.... But that's another project for another day!

First up, I'm thinking of doing two new things for commissions. The first up will be mini crowns, they're gold with different color beads on them and coordinating fabric ' puffs ' inside. I'll photograph laters when I steal a functioning camera. Second might be mini-tricorn hats. I've not yet worked out all the kinks in making these though, so they may be a much later thing. Both would be a lot more expensive than my fleece hats due to increase in labor and material costs. Not sure on either, feedback would be welcome?

Next up, OMGWTFBBQ this year I have 22...let me say that louder Twenty-Two costumes on my list. I didn't make it through 17 last year, who knows if I'll make it through these this go 'round. The only upside is it was originally 23 and one is already done, two are in progress and two are on 'long term hold'. So, sanity and free time are gooooooone.

Thirdly, did waaaaaaay too many conventions this last year, so I'm probably only going to hit the local cons this year. If I go out of town it won't be for the millions of conventions I did this year, I just can't take the drama any more.

Lastly, looking desperately for another job. I can no longer deal with anxiety nightmares, stress eating binges/purging binges, feeling like I'm incompetent and the resulting 'feel-better-costuming' runs. I'll even take temp work, anything has to be a change at this point.

Okay, got that all done, time to scuttle downstairs, be one with my machine and get this costuming fool on the road! TTFN y'all!

So, it's 5:30am, and I'm officially three decades old now. Which, this could deteriorate quickly if I'm not careful, so I'll leave it at that for now.

So, I'm coming to the end of the con-year for me here, and while I've not entirely finished my list of costumes I've come darn close. At the beginning of the year I had 17 costumes on the list, four for other people. I've now started the last one(maybe two) and will finish the year with 15 new, five for others. These weren't all initially on the list, but somehow it got...shuffled over the year. I've already got an equally long list for next year, but I think I may be smart enough to work on things a little more evenly. But, really, I do love to procrastinate, so I can't see that really happening.

I feel I need to address those that watch me that are/were pixel artists and watch me because I submitted a bit in the past. I don't honestly know if I'll ever go back to that hobby, as my costuming one seems to be all encompassing now. I won't rule it out, but I figure the likelihood is close to slim(which at least something in my life should be slim...). My muse is pretty much gone, he seems to have died a pretty quiet death over two years ago. I miss him, but have no idea how to get him back.

Beyond all that...yeah...uhm, can I restart my third decade over? Its only been five hours but I'd already like a do-over.

So I love having a day off from work...but not reaaaally. Today I had the day off...except I have a three hour meeting to go to in, oh look thirty minutes. Wednesday I have off..except I get to go in from 3am-4am to move our shippment from the truck to a trailer. Let me tell you how not happy that makes me. Oh wait, I should not profane in a public journal.

So, on the upside I'm making sliiiiiiight headway on the never ending costume list. I've yet to finish any of them, but I've gotten to the 70% or more finished point on two, and the 20% finished on two others. So, in theory, if I can finish those four, I'll be down to a dozen! ::throws party:: Erm, that's still depressing. But I've finished all the bits I can do in fun foam(I'm seriously addicted to using that stuff!), and so I have no way to procrastinate any furthur, and one of the cons I need some of them fore is in five days, and I can use and one more time or so in this sentence! Do I procrastinate? Nevah!

I think I may need to rethink my all-encompasing hobbies. I don't seem to know how to do things in moderation, I either go in so overboard or I do nothing. Case in point, I have now five sewing machines, why? so that should anyone I know wish to sew they can join me;however, I only have table space for three of them at any one given time. Grand plan. Another case, I have, in the last month, bought over 100 yds of fabric, and all for specific costumes. This doesn't mean I've touched any of the other hundreds of yards of fabric I have, just that I've felt the need to add to it.

Okay, I think I'm done now ::glances at clock:: yep, cause I gotta bolt. Learned the hard way that three sharpies will not dye a shoulder length wig, I need at least eight. So to che' Target I go, and maybe a bit of handsewing shall tag along while I'm sitting in my day off meeting..heheh, nearly put meating.... TTFN!

I cannot draw on paper to save my soul, so this gives me an outlet for that part of my nature.

I like most parts, but usually shoes or jeans make me all warm and squishy inside

All of it.

If I can find the pose I want I'll admit I'm lazy enough to use a base, but if I can't find the pose then I go baseless.

Yes, though not anything recently.

I was, but for the last year I've not really participated at any.
